This course introduces students to the creative and analytical process of designing tabletop games, such as board games, card games, and role-playing games. Students will learn the fundamentals of game mechanics, theme development, rule creation, and player engagement. The course emphasizes prototyping, playtesting, and refining designs based on feedback. Participants will explore how balance, strategy, and storytelling contribute to a successful game, while also considering aesthetic and practical design elements like artwork, layouts, and game components. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the skills to create unique and engaging tabletop experiences.
