About this program

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of block-based coding through hands-on learning with drones. Students will learn how to program drones to execute basic and complex maneuvers, employing software like DroneBlocks. The course aims to help students understand the basic principles of coding, computational thinking, and real-world applications of drone technology.

Students will complete a capstone project that requires them to code a drone to navigate through an obstacle course. This project will simulate a real-world scenario, such as search and rescue missions or agricultural surveying.
