About this program

This course is designed to prepare students for success on the Earth Science Regents exam by providing targeted instruction on key topics such as geology, meteorology, astronomy, and environmental science. Students will review scientific concepts, laboratory skills, and data interpretation methods while practicing with Regents-style questions to build confidence and competence. The course emphasizes critical thinking, test-taking strategies, and hands-on learning to ensure students are well-equipped for the exam. Individualized support and guidance will help each student strengthen their understanding of challenging topics and excel on test day.

Final projects or artifacts

Students will create an Earth Science study portfolio, which includes a comprehensive set of review materials such as diagrams, flashcards, and annotated practice questions. This portfolio will also feature a detailed analysis of a lab investigation, including observations, data interpretation, and conclusions, demonstrating their mastery of scientific practices required for the exam.
